Fabrics are more durable and waterproof than ever before, all while using PFAS-free waterproofing treatments to reduce their environmental impact
Increased durability also comes from updated all-metal corner hardware and straight pull zippers which are more durable than curves and make finding the pull at night easy

The MSR Elixir series is ideal for newer backpackers and those who want a super-versatile shelter for a variety of adventures that’s easy to set up and a great value. Already a backcountry mansion thanks to features like spacious vestibules and gear lofts, the Elixir now has even more room to stretch out on modern wide sleeping pads. Updated fabric coatings increase hydrolysis resistance to improve durability, waterproofness and extend the life of the tent. The updated Elixir still includes a footprint, perfect for newer users getting into camping and backpacking.
